A future for Careers

Careers4U is an iOS application developed in partnership with Preview and InvertedX for East Sussex County Council.
The application was designed from the ground up to provide a useful resource for school leavers who are still undecided about their next move.

Want to see what career is right for you? A plastic surgeon or maybe a PE teacher! Use the Careers4U app’ to get thinking about your future. Answer some simple questions to discover the careers that are available to you and get some unusual ideas along the way. Download and try it with your friends on your iPhone or iPod Touch now – it’s free!

If you’re at college, school or starting work this application from East Sussex County Council has been produced to give you more ideas. Be sure to visit the Connexions360 website when you complete the quiz and don’t forget to share your result with your friends on Facebook too!

iOS Development

InvertedX took Preview’s concept artwork of the application flow and converted this into a fully functioning application. A bespoke question matrix was developed to provide the question and summary data.

Facebook Development

With the application scoped out in a few evenings, one of the primary goals was to allow the end user the ability to share their results on the social network Facebook.

This required the development of a Facebook application using FBML to deliver a unique experience when the end user shared their result, including media asset discovery and OpenGraph meta delivery.
